Job Summary
Workday plays a critical role in our organization by leading the technical transition from PeopleSoft to Workday. This position is essential for ensuring seamless integrations, mentoring team members, and enhancing the overall capabilities of our integration processes. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in Workday integrations and a strong understanding of HR systems, particularly PeopleSoft. This role not only requires technical expertise but also the ability to guide and develop team members, making it a pivotal position within our organization.
Job Responsibilities
- Developing Integrations: design and implement integrations from PeopleSoft to Workday, ensuring data integrity and seamless functionality.
- Technical Support: Provide expert guidance and support to the team during the technical transition from PeopleSoft to Workday, addressing challenges and optimizing processes.
- Conversion Assistance: Assist in the conversion of existing PeopleSoft integrations to Workday, ensuring that all functionalities are preserved and enhanced where possible.
- Mentorship: Mentor and train current team members to improve their understanding and practical skills in Workday integrations, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Utilizing Technical Expertise: Leverage technical experience with PeopleSoft HCM 9.1, focusing on integrations and development to inform best practices and innovative solutions.
Basic Qualifications
Must-Have Skills
- Workday Integrations Development: Proven experience in developing and implementing integrations within the Workday platform, ensuring robust and efficient data exchange.
- Workday Studio: Strong knowledge and proficiency in using Workday Studio for building complex integrations, including the ability to troubleshoot and optimize integration workflows.
- Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB): Expertise in utilizing EIB for creating simple integrations, allowing for the import and export of data between Workday and external systems.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- PeopleSoft Integrations: Experience with PeopleSoft integrations and development, providing a solid foundation for understanding the transition challenges and opportunities.
- RaaS (Report as a Service): Familiarity with RaaS, enabling the extraction of data from Workday in a service-oriented manner, enhancing reporting capabilities.
- HR Systems Knowledge: A comprehensive understanding of HR systems, particularly PeopleSoft or similar platforms, to effectively manage and transition integrations.
Additional Skills
- Database Tools: Familiarity with database tools like PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch to manage and manipulate data effectively.
- Cloud Technologies: Experience with cloud technologies, mainly Azure, which may be relevant for hosting and managing integrations.
- DevOps Tools: Knowledge of DevOps tools like Docker, Jenkins, Kubernetes, GitLab, and Terraform to streamline deployment and integration processes.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills to effectively mentor team members and work cross-departmentally.

The Principal Solutions Architect will be instrumental in driving the success of our transition from PeopleSoft to Workday, ensuring that our integration processes are efficient, effective, and aligned with organizational goals.
